CLUB PHILOSOPHY

  • Culture is everything. We foster a family environment where athletes and teams celebrate successes together. We focus on developing successful young women on and off the court.
  • Training plans are developed and implemented by our club directors. Plans are executed at every session.
  • Our lead coaches direct weekly positional groups.
  • Every athlete trains with multiple coaches and club players.
  • Our highly competitive practice gym focuses on a thought-out combination of individual and team development. All players learn and execute all skills.
  • Results prove that our players and teams continuously advance and improve year over year.
  • We provide knowledgeable, connected, and tenured recruiting assistance at no additional charge.

 

TEAM SUCCESS

  • We currently have 5 nationally ranked top 50 teams in their age divisions.
  • Our teams consistently finish in the top 10 at major events in their respective divisions. Blue teams play Open, White teams play Premier, and Gray teams play Club. All of our teams are National teams.

 

PLAYER SUCCESS

  • Through skill development, team skills, leadership skills, high school success, college accomplishments, and more, our athletes are constantly preparing for the next steps in their journeys.
  • TSE has 114 athletes who have played, are playing, or are committed to playing in college across all NCAA and NAIA divisions. Currently, TSE athletes are participating at 48 schools. We’ve assisted in player development, and athletes have earned accolades that include All-American, Conference Player of the Year, All-Conference, Setter of the Year, Libero of the Year, and National Champions.
  • TSE has high school athletes competing at 31 different high schools in the area.

 

CLUB DIRECTORS

Together, Kelly, Matt, and Kevin have coached 300+ athletes that have played, are currently playing or are preparing to compete in Division 1 college volleyball. The list of programs include Louisville, Ohio State, Kentucky, Penn State, Illinois, Michigan State, Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, LSU, Virginia, Xavier, Cincinnati, Morehead State, Lipscomb, Western Kentucky, DePaul, Cleveland State, Wright State, Eastern Kentucky, Northern Kentucky and many others.

KELLY CROWLEY

Kelly is the Head Coach of our 15 Blue team and National Team Club Director.  He has been training and coaching at the elite club level since 2001. Before TSE, he was the head coach of numerous nationally-ranked teams at Team Z Volleyball Club.  Kelly is also the Head Coach at Seton High School where he has been the GGCL Coach of the Year twice and was named Ohio High School Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2024.  He and his wife, Amy, are the proud parents of two daughters.

MATT LONG

Matt will be the Head Coach of our 12 Blue and 18 Blue teams this season and is a Club Director. Matt has been leading volleyball athletes and teams since 2000. He has been a successful coach at each and every level along the way.  Matt has led successful varsity high school and nationally ranked club teams. He is the current Head Coach at Beechwood High School and his experience also includes being Head Varsity coach at Dixie Heights and assisting at Notre Dame Academy.  

KEVIN LUCAS

Kevin is the Head Coach of our 14 Blue team for the 2023/2024 season.  Kevin has been the Coaching Director at TSE since the club formed. Kevin has been coaching at the high school and club level since 2000. Formerly, the head coach at St. Ursula Academy in Cincinnati, the Bulldogs were consistently ranked top 10 in the state. During this time, SUA won two state championships and the 2003 Prepvolleyball.com National Championship.  He was also an assistant coach at St. Xavier High School from 2002-2005, going to three final fours and winning one state championship.  Kevin led Miami University Women’s Club team to a #1 national ranking and named NIRSA and Miami University Club Sports Coach of the Year in 2005. His experience also includes Ohio Valley Region USAV High Performance. From 2005-2013, he coached at the 18 Open level for both Cincinnati Attack and Cincy Classics, leading two teams to top 3 finishes at USA Nationals and two others to top 10 finishes.
